RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Ethel F. Bradshaw, 97, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2007.
She was born June 30, 1909, in Yonkers, daughter of the late Frank and Teresa Engel Burke. Ethel was raised in Yonkers, where she attended St. Mary's Parochial School and graduated from Elizabeth Seton.
On June 29, 1935, she was united in marriage with James Bradshaw in St. Dennis's Church, Yonkers, a loving and devoted union of nearly 58 years. He preceded her in death June 9, 1993. A former resident of Mount Vernon, she with her husband, moved to Richfield Springs in 1974.
Mrs. Bradshaw had a strong belief in God and led a devoted Catholic life. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Parish in Mount Vernon and most recently with St. Joseph's Church, Richfield Springs.
Surviving are a niece, Ann Marie Kitts of Richfield Springs; two nephews, Robert Kitts of Patterson and William Kitts of Derry, N.H.; along with grand nieces and nephews, great-grand nieces and nephews and several cousins.
Besides her parents and husband, James, she was predeceased by one brother, William Burke, one sister, Catherine Kitts, and a sister-in-law, Josephine Bradshaw.
Funeral from J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 W. James St., Richfield Springs, will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Richfield Springs.
The family will be present in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends on Monday evening from 6 until 8
