|Birth: ||Jul. 6, 1840|

Adolph was the second of eight known children born to Adolph Friedrich (Jr.) and Catharina Wilhelmina (Brodersen) Niesche and arrived in their fourth year of marriage. Adolph was baptized into the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wrohm, Schleswig-Holstein, the city in which he was born, on 09 August 1840.
Details on Adolph's life in Germany are sparse. It is known that he apprenticed under his father as a cabinet maker and that he would eventually follow that trade into adulthood. It is also know that he was confirmed in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tellingstedt, Schleswig-Holstein on 24 February 1856.
He proposed marriage to Christina Margaretha Stuck in Tellingstedt on 13 October 1865. She accepted his proposal and their wedding took place the following month at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tellingstedt on 10 November 1865.
Adolph and Christina were blessed with two known children, both of whom survived into adulthood. They were: (1) Wilhelmina Katharina "Minnie" Niesche, born on 15 March 1866 and (2) Adolph Friedrich Niesche IV, born on 24 May 1867.
Adolph died in Tellingstedt on 26 October 1870, just three years after the birth of his last child. The cause of death was blood poisoning from a leg injury sustained while either jumping or falling from a stone wall. He was buried in Tellingstedt on 31 October 1870.
Two years after his death his widow and two small children migrated to the United States with his parents and siblings, eventually settling in McLean County, Illinois.
