Ranos Hoke Andrews, age 90, of 230 Orchard Road, Sparta, NC died Friday, September 16, 2011 at the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. He was born March 15, 1921 in Alleghany County to the late Fred Lacy and Pearl Reynolds Andrews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Moody Andrews; two sisters and one brother. He is survived by one daughter, Nancy Roten and husband Steve of the home; two grandsons, Daniel and Andrew Roten of the home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 18, 2011 at the Grandview Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in the Stratford community. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made to the Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Tom Atwood, 1769 US Hwy 221 South, Sparta, NC 28675.
