She married Aaron in 1884 in Sweden and they had many children born there including Gustave, Carl, Esther and Ellen. The family came to America in 1894 out of Helsingberg, Sweden aboard the SS Slavonia.

The couple were then blessed with Lily, Edith, Ruth, Alfred and Elsa all born in Newport, RI.
