"Sad Plight of Aged Widower."
John Harvey of Warsaw, Whose Wife Was Buried Today, Is Almost Helpless.
Warsaw, Ill., Aug. 12 -
Mrs. Margaret Harvey, wife of John Harvey, died at 3:10 o'clock Wednesday morning, after an illness extending over four years, aged 73 years and 4 days. Margaret McGinn was born in County Cavan, Ireland, August 6, 1837, and in 1848 came to America with her parents, who located in St. Louis. She was there married to John Harvey May 5, 1853, and to them four children were born, all of whom died in infancy.
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey came to Warsaw in 1869, which has since been their home. Some four years ago her health began to fail and throughout that period she has been an invalid the greater portion of the time. Her aged husband survives, and the affliction is the more pitiful since it comes at a time when he is almost helpless, the result of an accident which befell him some three weeks ago when he was severely burned in attempting to light a fire with coal oil.
The funeral occurred from the Sacred Heart church this morning at 9 o'clock. Interment in Oakland cemetery.
