Lulu May Dasbach Fuller was born to Reinhold John Dasbach, tinsmith, and Louisa May (Obert) Dasbach in Quincy, Adams county, Illinois. She was Reinhold's third child and Louisa's first. (No birth certificate seems to exist for Lulu by name but there is a baby girl Dasbach birth certificate with the correct birth date.) Newspaper clippings and census listings, however, do confirm her parentage. (No father's name or information is listed on Lulu Fuller's death certificate, but, Louisa Obert of Quincy IL is listed as Lulu's mother. Lulu was born during Louisa's marriage to Reinhold Dasbach.)
The 1900 census lists Lulu twice: Once, living with her mother, stepfather and sister Nettie; and a few months later, living with her maternal aunt, Maria Obert, in Boonville, Missouri. Her 'aunt Mary' was a seamstress and dressmaker. Lulu was approximately 15in 1900.
18 December 1902 there was an engagement announcement in the Quincy, Illinois newspaper. It said Lulu would wed Mr. O. H. Boggs, who was "a bill clerk for the O., B. and Q." The wedding was to be December 23. (No certificate has yet been found.)
In 1903, Ora H Boggs is listed as boarding at 410 Lind in Quincy, Illinois. In the same city directory, Miss Lulu "Cosby" is living with her mother, stepfather (Thomas Henry Cosby), and sister Nettie, at 116 1/2 5th street in Quincy, Illinois.
On 29 March 1904, Harriet Mable was born to Ora Harold Boggs and Lulu Mae Dasbach.
On 3 January, 1905, the Quincy newspaper announced the christening of "Harriet Mabel," parents Mr and Mrs O. H. Boggs, "at the home of Mrs. Boggs' mother, Mrs T. H. Cosby."
In the 1906 Quincy city directory, Mrs Lulu Boggs is listed in residence at 334 1/2 North 12th street. Her mother, sister Nettie, and stepfather Thomas H. Cosby are all listed at the same address.
There is a brief clipping from the Quincy Whig newspaper, dated 1 May 1907, announcing Lulu's engagement to George Fuller of Alton, Madison county, Illinois. Actually it says they took out their marriage license the day prior.
George and Lulu did wed, and had children together: Ethel Harriett, Georgia M., Dorothy L., Frederick E., Francis L., and James Fuller. George Fuller worked for the railroad. Lulu was a homemaker. The family resided at 866 Washington Avenue, Alton, Illinois.
Lulu Fuller's death certificate says her cause of death was cancer. "Generalized carcinoma involving all organs." She was 56 years, 7 months, and 8 days old. She had been living in Alton, Illinois for thirty six years at the time of her death.
