A book which lists interments at Adams County Court House has a listing for Lizzie Dasbach, age 27, died 30 October 1879. Her birth year has been extrapolated from that information.

Elizabeth Sonner wed Reinhold Dasbach, a tinsmith, 12 July 1875. A birth certificate exists for Arthur Dasbach, born 7 June 1878, listed as 2nd child from this mother on his birth certificate. There is a death certificate for Cora, who died age 6 years 11 months on 24 March 1883. (This puts Cora Dasbach's approximate birth date at April 1876.) Cora Dasbach's cemetery records list her parents as Reinhold and Elizabeth Dasbach. I believe they also had a son Alexander who died age 22 from consumption. His parents are listed in the Woodland cemetery records as Reinhold and Lizzie Dasbach. (Actually, since Alexander's obituary lists his birth date as the same as Arthur's on Arthur's birth certificate, I believe they are the same son. No further record of Arthur past his birth cert. was ever found.)

The 1880 census lists Cora and "Ellick" (Alec?) as living with a widowed Reinhold, their grandparents and aunts and uncles in one house. Alexander's obituary stated he was raised by an aunt and uncle. Cora died prior to Reinhold's second marriage which was to Louisa May Obert, her first marriage. Reinhold and Louisa (Obert) Dasbach had two daughters: Lulu May, and Nettie Rose. Reinhold passed away in 1887, when Nettie Rose was still an infant. He was only 33 years old.

The mortality schedule for the year Elizabeth Sonner Dasbach died lists her cause of death as consumption. This illness would claim son Alexander's life when he was only 22, and possibly claimed Reinhold's as well. Reinhold's cause of death is not known to us; but he died young, and his wife and son had T.B. Little Cora died from scarlet fever. Thus was an entire nuclear family wiped out by 19th century illnesses.

At this time nothing more is known about Elizabeth Sonner Dasbach.
