Manley "Scott" Farnham was a man of mystery. After his farm failed in North Dakota, he left a wife and three children behind telling them that he was off to the California gold fields. Scott emerged in Snohomish, WA where he worked in area lumber mills as a millwright. He married Myrtie Parker and left 3 more young children when he died in 1905. His second family knew nothing of his first family.
