DAVID W. JONES

David W. Jones, 70, Donaldson, died at his home early Thursday morning after a short illness.

Born in the Jalappa section if Pottsville, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Watkins Jones, natives of Wales. He served many years as a mine foreman and was last employed at Westwood colliery. He was a member of the Donaldson Lutheran Church and the United Mineworkers of America. A son died 23 years ago.

Surviving are his wife, the former Rebecca Wean; one son, Clair, chief clerk at the Schuylkill County Institutional District; two brothers, John Jones, Tremont, and Watkins Jones, Tremont, and one sister, Mrs. Martha Sirrocco, Pottsville.

Funeral services at the H. A. Snyder Funeral Home, Tremont. Monday afternoon, with Rev. Freeman Hemmig, of the Lutheran Church in charge. Burial in Donaldson Cemetery.
