Susan Boyd Belote was the daughter of Lowndes County pioneer Bani Boyd and his wife Sarah Collins Boyd. (See Huxford Genealogical Society Magazine Volume XXXIII, Number 3, September 2006, page 158)
Susan was born January 1, 1828. She was married to Irvin Belote February 20, 1851. Irvin was born April 25, 1826. He was the son of Lowndes County pioneer Alfred Belote and his wife Martha Hendley.
Susan died October 7, 1908 and was buried in the Boyd Cemetery.
At the present time it is not known where Irvin is buried, but since their daughter Georgia Ann Belote Wisenbaker and Susan's sister Sarah (Sallie) Boyd Belote are also buried in the Boyd Cemetery, it is possible he is buried there also.
