Residence: Wabash County, Indiana. Enlisted as a Private on 15 November 1861 in Company D, 47th Infantry Regiment Indiana. Died Company D, 47th Infantry Regiment Indiana on 15 September 1862 at St. Louis, Missouri.

Died - Catlin - At the military hospital in Keokuk, Iowa, on the 3d ist., William Catlin, private in Capt. Bruner's Company, 47th Regiment Indiana Volunteers.
