OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN) - September 14, 1865
At Shreveport, La., Aug. 18th 1865, of congestive chills, Benjamin Franklin Breeding, Co. D, 47th Indiana Vet. Vols. Infantry, who joined the service January 4th, 1864, he was devoted to his country - a good soldier - loyal brave and true, was engaged with the enemy at Alexandria and Atchafalaya, La., Fort Spanish, Fort Blakely, and Mobile, Ala. He leaves a wife and one child to mourn his untimely end. The members of his company respectfully tender this condolence.
