OBITUARY - BISMARCK - Joe "Catfish" Lucas, 68 of Bismarck, passed away Monday, December 31, 2012 at Barnes Jewish Hospital. He wasborn April 2, 1944, in Ironton to the late Audre and Robert Lee Lucas. Joe served his country in the United Stated Arny, in the 101st Airborne at Fort Bragg, NC; he was employed by Amax Lead Company and the Farmington Correctional Center where he retired in 2006.

He was united in marriage to Pauline Stout, November 28, 1967, she survives. Also survived bydaughterd, Melinda Watson of Bonne Terre, and Debbie Lucas, Ehrenberg, Ariz.; son Larry Lucas, Bismarck; three granddaughters,Corinne Hill, Elisabeth Harger and Brittan Watson; one grandson Joshua Hager; great-granddaughters, Kaci Hewlett, Jasmine Hewlett, Hadley Hager, Meagan Hill; one Great Grandson, Remington Hager; three brothers, Wayne Lucas of Corpus Christi, Tx., Bob Lucas of Bismarck, and Louie Lucas of Park Hills; nephews Bill Hartley, Chris Lucas, Jeff Lucas, Nick Lucas, Jason Lucas and Reed Lucas; niece Connie Hartley Semonite; cousns, Betty Bradley, Bill Helvey, Jerry Helvey, Keith Helvey; aunt Alma Jean Pinkley; great nephews Kyle, Hayden, Evan, Steven and Johnathen; great nieces Amanda, Katie and Alexandria.

He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Junie and Charlotta Lucas and Tone and Rose Helvey; sisters, Rosalie Lucas and Charlotte Hartley; and brother-in-law Bill Hartley.

He was cremated and a private service was held under the direction of Shipman Funeral Home.
