J.J. or "Jack" was a lifelong farmer. He was born in Calhoun County, Georgia, lived for a short time in Oklahoma, but spent most of his life in north Alabama. At his death he was survived by his loving wife and partner, eight children, grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a baby daughter, Gladis. I have no knowledge of his biological parents and have been told his adoptive father was probably from Georgia, he took his name, and his adoptive mother's name was Mary Smith. He was lively and spry, quick to laugh, and as his wife, a true sweetheart.
