Charles C. Angelini, 92, of Roseto, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in Gracedale. Born: October 9, 1919 in Roseto, the son of the late Joseph and Theresa Vitale Angelini. Personal: He was the husband of the late Mary Romano Angelini with whom he shared 55 years of marriage prior to her death in 2001. He was a 1938 graduate of Bangor High School. In the late 1940 s and early 1950 s, Charles and Mary operated Charlie s Inn and Mary s Cabins in Delaware, NJ. In 1957, he became the dining room supervisor and shop teacher at the Amackassin School in Blairstown, NJ, from which he retired. Charles served as Mayor of Roseto for 28 years. He had a great love for Roseto, and was proud of his public service. As a Justice of the Peace, he enjoyed performing weddings. He organized many activities for the youth of the borough while he was mayor. He was a veteran of the US Army during World War II, serving in the European Theater as a Technician 5th Grade with the 8th Armored Division. He received five Bronze Stars, the Good Conduct Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal. Charles was affiliated with the Lehigh Valley Chapter PIAA as a football official for 23 years and a baseball umpire. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons. Memberships: He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Roseto, formerly serving as a lector and Eucharistic Minister; Past Commander of Martocci-Capobianco American Legion Post 759 of Roseto; Father DeNisco Council #3862 of the Knights of Columbus, Bangor; Charter member and former Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Slate Belt Medical Center; former committeeman for the Boy Scout Troup 36, Roseto; former board member and treasurer of Northampton County Housing Authority; past president of the Holy Name Society of the church and former member of the Roseto Park Board; life member of Roseto Rod and Gun Club, and former member of the Roseto Community Board of Trade. He was instrumental in organizing the Roseto Senior Citizens. Survivors: Charles is survived by two sons, Joseph C. and his wife, Angella (Denardo) of Roseto, and Charles A. and his wife, Tara (Werley) of Pen Argyl; a granddaughter, Jolynn (Angelini) Holencik, her husband, Jesse and daughter Isabella; a grandson, Charles E. Angelini of Ewing, NJ; a step-grandson, Stanford J. Reuben III of Stroudsburg; and a sister, Agnes Martino of Roseto. He was predeceased by sisters, Lucy Rizzio, Jennie Aversano, Rose Tognoli, Mary Capozzolo and Magdalene Angelini; and brothers, Vincent, Louis, and Monsignor Agnello Angelini. Services: A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 30th at 1 p.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Third & Garibaldi Aves., Roseto. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. in the Fiore Funeral Home, 230 Market St., Bangor. Military interment services will be in the New Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Roseto. Memorials: donations may be offered in Charles name to either the Columbia Fire Co., 164 Garibaldi Ave., Roseto 18013 or to Our Lady of Mt.
