WILLIS BAUGHMAN, DIES AT AGE OF 65

Auburn Man Made Arrangements for Funeral Before Death - Pneumonia and Heart Trouble Fatal

The death of Willis Baughman, a well known mason residing at 220 South Division street, occurred Monday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock as the result of bronchial pneumonia and heart trouble. He had been confined to his bed for two weeks and for two years was in failing health.

The funeral services, complete arrangements for which had been made by Mr. Baughman previous to his death, will be held at 3 o'clock DST on Wednesday afternnon from the late home with Rev. Joseph Ferguson of east of Auburn officiating. Burial will be made in Roselwn cemetery.

Mr. Baughman was born north and east of Aburn on a farm on January 18, 1871, and his age at the time of his death was 65 years, 6 months and 7 days. He was the oldest of eight children of Isaiah and Sephia Baughman and had resided in Auburn thirty-two years.

On November 26, 1896 he was united in marriage with Mary Blanche Woods of near Butler, the ceremony being performed at Waterloo in the M. E. parsonage.

Mr. Baughman at one time served as chief of the Auburn Volunteer fire department and was a Free & Accepted Mason.

He is survived by his widow, a daughter, Mrs. Claude Lane of Kendallville, one grandchild, two brothers, Ward Baughman, residing west of Auburn Junction and Ben Baughman, living on the DeKalb-Steuben county line and three sisters, Mrs. Lewis Kruse, living east of Auburn on road No. 8, Mrs. Anna Wilson, east of Auburn near Norris Chapel and Mrs. Margaret Henderson of 707 South Main street, Auburn.
