LONG ILLNESS BRINGS DEATH TO J.C. KYTLE.
Mr. J.C. Kytle, a prominent and greatly loved Chauncey citizen who had been confined to his bed the past two years, ill of diabetes, died at his home Saturday night.
Mr. Kytle was a native of White County, but had been a resident of Dodge 35 years. He had served both as mayor and policeman of that town for a number of years. He was a member of the Methodist Church, and was a splendid citizen whose efforts and influence were ever exercised for the best interests of the community in which he lived. He was 68 years and nine months old, and is survived by his wife, who was Miss Mollie Turk, of Milton County prior to her marriage, and the following children: J.C. and Robert Kytle of Chauncey, Mrs. W.L. Lamb of Eastman, and Mrs. Clifford Burch of Chauncey; also one brother, S.D. Kytle, of Sulphur, Okla., and two sisters, Mrs. L.A. Williams, of Abbeville, and Mrs. Carrie Daniel, of Perrytown, Texas.
Funeral services were conducted in the Chauncey Methodist Church Sunday afternoon by Rev. L.B. McMichael, Rev. O.A. Grant, and Rev. C. A. Morrison. Hymns were sung by Mr. and Mrs. Carson Knight, Miss Susie McMichael and Mrs. Ruth Robinson. The following served as pallbearers: Claud Harrell, W.R. Willis, R.C. Kelly, R.B. Kelly, Howard Giddens and Claud Willis. Interment was in the Chauncey Cemetery.
