Gary Adams

Gary Lee Adams, 20, 5012 Cook Road, was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital following a collision on Route W, 1½ miles north of Highway 6 in Buchanan County.

A native of Easton, Mo., he had lived in St. Joseph most of his life. Mr. Adams was employed at the log station at the Missouri Walnut Co.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Virginia A. Beahler and Howard Beahler of the family home at 3609 Bishop St.; his father and step-mother, Roy and June Adams, both of Guthrie, Okla.; two brothers, David Adams, Cameron, Mo., and Jason Adams of the home; three sisters, Laura Wolf, Crescent, Okla., and Trudy Adams and Penny Adams, both of the home; one half-brother, Johnny Adams, St. Joseph; two half-sisters, Rosetta Marcell, Schomburg, Ill., and Carol Anthony, St. Joseph; one step-brother, Calvin Beahler, St. Joseph; his paternal grandmother, Mary Wachter, St. Joseph; his maternal grandmother, Tina Hoffman, St. Joseph; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden chapel. Burial will be in the Moray Cemetery in Bendena, Kan.
