ANDERSON, Arlie Holmes, "Edward", 73, of Chilhowie, died Wednesday, January 26, 2000, in Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie. He was born August 6,1926, son of the late James A. and Mary Thelma Patterson Anderson. Mr. Anderson was married to the late Eulis Rogers Anderson of Marion, formerly
of Boydton. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army and retired from Radford Army Ammunition Plant in 1989. Mr. Anderson was a member of the Francis Marion VFW Post #4667 and the Marion Church of God. He is survived by one son, Roger A. Anderson of Boydton; three sisters, Dorothy A. Stevenson of Saltville, Shirley A. Helton of Marion, and Linda A. Doyle of Wytheville; three brothers, Robert M. Anderson, John C. Anderson and Neal Anderson, all of Marion. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 29, 2000, at 10 a.m. at the
Seaver-Brown Chapel, with the Rev. Jerry Alley officiating. The committal service will be held Sunday, January 30, 2000, at 2 p.m. at Fields United Methodist Church Cemetery near Boydton, Va. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service is serving the Anderson family.
