|Birth: ||Jun. 27, 1933|
|Death: ||Jan. 3, 1992|
Timothy Grant "Skip" Snyder was the nephew of Catharine (Snyder) Williams with whom he is interred in Section 20, Lot 802 of St. Mark's Cemetery. A Korean War veteran who was a son of Catharine's brother, Harry A. Snyder, Sr., Skip passed away 3 Jan 1992.
Their graves are located approximately a football field's length away from the graves of Catharine's parents (Skip's grandparents), Timothy Grant Snyder and Alice (Blake) Snyder. Skip was cremated prior to interment on 6 January 1992. The Kulik Funeral Home handled Skip's arrangements. The next of kin listed on his Pennsylvania Veteran's Burial Index Card was his daughter: Linda Snyder, Orlando, Florida.
Catharine's father (and Skip's grandfather), Tim, was a Spanish American War veteran who served on Admiral Dewey's flagship, the Olympia, before mustering out of the U.S. Marine Corps as a Corporal. He worked for the railroad system before passing away in 1925.
Catharine's mother (Skip's grandmother), Alice, passed away in 1942. Tim and Alice are interred in the oldest section of St. Mark's (Section 1, Lot 404). Also interred at the same plot with Catharine's parents were Catharine's brother, John Blake Snyder (1907-1990), and Catharine's sister, Lillie May Snyder (1905-1907).
In addition to providing dates of birth and death for Catharine (Snyder) Williams, the grave marker at the site of Catharine and Skip's graves also shows the name of Catharine's husband, Ralph J. "Albie" Williams. According to SSDI and obituary records, Albie passed away in 2006; however, the grave marker provides no death date for him. The birth date carved for him on the grave marker was 26 Oct 1923.
In August 2012, a St. Mark's Cemetery official confirmed that the cemetery has no record of Albie's interment at this plot.
The administrative offices do, however, have record of the interment of Timothy Grant "Skip" Snyder at this location.
Skip's great-grandfather, Timothy Matthias Snyder, was a Civil War veteran who mustered out of the Pennsylvania Volunteers, 47th Regiment, Company C. Timothy Matthias Snyder is interred at Ashland's Brock Cemetery.
