Frank was employed as a Cold Forger with Bethlehem Steel in 1941, and as a steel worker in 1945, successfully rising in the company's leadership to become a Safety Supervisor. He retired from Bethlehem Steel in 1978 after 37 years of dedicated service.
Frank Boran married Frances J. Krupa (born 1913), the daughter of Jan and Rozalia Krupa, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Roman Catholic Church in Minersville on 7 March 1943.
They had two children, Jane and Kathleen F. Boran. Frank and Frances resided on Courtwright Street in Hellertown for many years until Frank's death at St. Luke's Hospital on 6 June 1991.
Funeral services were held on Monday, 10 June 1991 at 9:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Theresa's Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. The Connell Funeral Home of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania was involved in the funeral arrangements.
Frank was buried in Hellertown Union Cemetery in Hellertown, Northampton County, Pennsylvania on 10 June 1991.
