Mrs. Madeline Rita (Vaillancourt) Martin, 89, of Chelmsford, formerly of Lowell died Saturday October 30, 2010 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford. She was married to the late Mr. Walter J. Martin. Born in Lowell on March 7, 1921, the daughter of the late Joseph and Bridget (Kelleher) Vaillancourt. She was raised and educated in Lowell. She was employed for many years in the mills of Lowell. She was always thinking of others before herself. She was especially happy when she was spending quality time with her cherished 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She is survived by three sons and their wives, Walter R. and Cheryl Martin of Dracut, Richard J. and Louise Martin of Nebraska, Gary D. and Kristen Martin of Salem, MA; two daughters and a son-in-law, Donna and Jerry Sullivan of N. Chelmsford, Ann Baillargeon and her companion, James Breen both of Lowell; a sister, Lillian Howard of Chelmsford; her beloved niece, Diane Howard of Lowell, two sisters-in-law, Doris Vaillancourt of Chelmsford and Helen Vaillancourt of Boston, MA, as well as many nieces, nephews and several dear friends. Madeline was predeceased by her two brothers, Eugene Vaillancourt of Boston, Francis Vaillancourt of Chelmsford, three sisters, Theresa Vaillancourt, Marie Bickford, and Patricia Adams all of Lowell. FUNERAL NOTICE MARTIN, Madeline R. (Vaillancourt) Martin of Lowell died Oct. 30, 2010. A private Funeral Service and wake was held this morning at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD.
