Raymond Benjamin Burnison was born on January 18, 1921 in Wellington, Illinois and died (age 85) on January 21, 2006 in Zephyrhills, Florida. He was the son of Benjamin Burnison and Mary Royer. He married Alvena Anna Fischer on November 13, 1943 at St. James Lutheran Church, Elmer Township, Sanilac Co, Michigan. She was born on October 6, 1919 in Marlette, Michigan. Raymond was 22 years old and Alvena was 24 years old on their wedding day. They have four children. He is buried at Moore Township Cemetery, Snover, Michigan.

Ray's obit - He retired from GM-Saginaw Steering Gear in 1982. They spent summers in Reese, MI and winters in Zephyrhills, FL. He was actively involved in the Lutheran Hour, Our Savior Lutheran Church, the Amateur Ham Radio Club of Zephyrhills, the National Registered Holstein Dairy Assn, and the Michigan Farm Bureau. He also volunteered for the Saginaw County Social Services Organization. He helped establish and was a charter member of two churches: Peace Lutheran Sandusky, MI. and Chapel of the Lakes Mecosta, MI.
