The following obituary appeared in The Belleville Telescope (page 1) on May 22, 1908:
M F FRINT
M. F. Frint, who died at his home in Belleville, Kansas, May 15th, 1908, was born in Brush Creek Iowa, August 25, 1859, and came with his parents to Republic county in July, 1864. His father Henry Frint was one of the first County Commissioners and helped lay out the townsite of Belleville, his being one of the first families to come into the county. M. F. Frint has resided almost continuously in the county since the family first located here.
He was married to Miss Mary Blanchard July 15, 1888, and five children were born to them, the youngest a mere babe, all living, save one boy who died when almost three years old.
Mr. Frint was sorely afflicted with inflamatory rheumatism when fourteen years old, and it left him a cripple, which has handicapped him greatly all through life, and it no doubt was the direct cause of his death. He struggled hard through life to care for his family, and his last words and thoughts were for them. He was solicitious for them to the last, feeling that he must give up the battle and leave them in the hands and care of his Heavenly Father.
Short and impressive funeral services were conducted by Rev. G. Craft at the home Saturday afternoon. Sacred music was provided by a quartett from the Presbyterian church and Rev. Butler read some passages from the Bible. Interment was made in the Belleville cemetery.
