Anna Marie Burnett was the daughter of Wendelin Schinold and Magdalena Diehl. She moved to Clara, Kansas with her parents as a child. September 6 1911 in Elbow, Canada, she married John Henry Burnett b. 5 May 1888 in Lacona, Iowa. She was a seamstress and housewife. After her husband passed away in 1954 she "broke up housekeeping" and lived with her sons and daughters, spending equal time with each until shortly before her death when she lived with her youngest daughter.
Salina Journal March 3, 1976 MRS. ANNA M. BURNETT CONCORDIA - The funeral for Mrs. Anna M. Burnett, 87, Concordia, will be at 10 am Friday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, Concordia, the Rev. Loren Werth officiating. The Rosary will be at 7:30 pm Thursday in Chaput-Buoy funeral home, Concordia. Burial will be in Sacred Heart cemetery, Greenleaf. Mrs. Burnett died Tuesday at St. Joseph's hospital, Concordia. She was born April 6, 1888 at Oak Hill. She came to Concordia in 1965 from Washington, Kas. In Concordia she made her home with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Moore. She was a member of the Catholic Church and of the altar society of St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Washington. Surviving are 4 daughters, Mrs. Clyde Ackerman, Rochester, Minn.; Mrs. James McCawley, Fairbury, Neb.; Mrs. Martin McCawley, Salina and Mrs. Everett Moore, Concordia; 2 sons, James A. Burnett, Rochester, Minn., and Milton G. Burnett, Abilene; 2 sisters, Mrs. Lena Monson, New London, Canada, and Mrs. Edward Benson, Winnipeg, Canada; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
