Birth: 1810
Georgia, USA
Death: Jan. 26, 1897
Crawford County
Georgia, USA

Her name is spelled in various ways in different documents. Myrom, Myram, Myrayn, Myrain, Myrion. We may never know exactly what it is. There is a possibility that the various spellings were intended to represent the Biblical name, Miriam. I have used the spelling most often used, as seen in records and in her Obituary.

She was the daughter of Amos and Mary Hix/Hicks lastly of Crawford County, GA, where his will is on file. Also where Mary Hicks gave land to her grandchildren, deeded to the children of Myrom Holloman.

Marriage Book A-1, Crawford Co. GA, page 124, lists the marriage of John Holloman and Myrom E. Hicks by Wm H. Lowe, J. P., 2 August 1832.

John & Myrom Holloman had 9 known children.

The Macon Telegraph on Thursday, January 28, 1897 published her obituary, which reads as follows:

"Mrs. Myrom Holloman Will Be Buried Today

Mrs. Myrom Holloman aged 86 year died in the Third District of Crawford County. Tuesday evening at ___ o'clock. She was a member of the church and was a Christian woman, much esteemed where she lived.

Mrs. Holloman lives four children. The interment will take place at Mount Paron (sic) cemetery this afternoon. Undertaker Clay sent a casket for her remains to Crawford County yesterday."
