LINCOLN -- Pauline J. Aper, 84, of Lincoln, formerly of Atlanta, died at 2:07 p.m. Tuesday (March 15, 2005) at St. John's Hospital, Springfield.
Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Hartsburg. The Rev. David Russell will officiate. Burial will be in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Quiram Funeral Home, Atlanta, handled arrangements.
She was born Oct. 20, 1920, at Belleville, to Harvey and Katherine Goeckel McCain. She married Bernhard J. "Ben" Aper on March 3, 1940, in Lincoln. Mr. Aper died June 26, 1991.
Surviving are one daughter, Norma J. Finn, Kingwood, Texas; one son, Harvey H. Aper, Petersburg; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Gladys Boyd, Lincoln.
She was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
Mrs. Aper worked at the former Stetson China Factory, Lincoln, for several years. She was later employed at Eureka-Williams, Bloomington, and was also in real estate sales until her retirement. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Hartsburg, to which memorial contributions may be made, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
