Funeral Services for the late Amanda Hannah Berg were held on Saturday, December 16th, at 2:00 p.m. from North Branch Church at North Branch. Interment was in Pine Ridge cemetery, North Branch. Rev. Roland White conducted the services, assisted by Mrs. White singing and playing the harp. The Lettner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Berg passed away peacefully at Emo Hospital. Pallbearers were her grandson, Dale Berg, Rick Neilson, Jack, Mike, Dan and Alvin Armstrong. Mrs. Berg was born on May 13, 1884 in Toronto, South Dakota to Mr. and Mrs. Eric Mundahl who emigrated from Norway to the States. She married Leroy Berg in August 1909 at Bismark, North Dakota where they lived until 1913 when they moved to Canada, living at North Branch until 1960 when they move to Stratton. Mrs. Berg was a woman of strong faith in God and was a member of the Mission Covenant Church. She is survived by one son and five daughters. Clifford of Stratton, Gladys (Mrs. George Welch) of Lexington, Kentucky; Alice, (Mrs. Art Swanson) of Thunder Bay; Lucille (Mrs. Thomas Gemmell) : Evelyn (Mrs. Dennis Armstrong); Vivian, (Mrs. Garnet Neilson), all of Stratton; eighteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Anna Elias of Stratton, Mrs. Clara Banku of California, one brother, Thomas Mundahl of Stratton. She was predeceased by her husband in 1968, a son Alton in 1923, a sister, Alma and two brothers, Henry and Edwin.
