Kile Charles Burt
Kile Charles Burt, aged 72, of 307 S. Talbot St. Addison died at 1 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, at Addison Community hospital where he had been a patient for one week.
He was born Nov. 16, 1883 in Lenawee County the son of Matthew and Mary Powers Burt.
He is survived by his widow, the former Eva Kies, whom he married in 1907; one brother, Elias Burt of Hudson; one sister, Ann Smith of Ann Arbor; four nephews, one niece, and several cousins.
Mr. Burt, a retired mail carrier, out of Addison, was at the time of his death Justice of the Peace in Addison.
The Burt family were formerly Hudson residents. They had resided in Addison 42 years. He was a past Master of Addison Masonic Lodge No. 157, F and A.M. and a member of Faith Chapter, O.E.S.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Charles E. Brown and Son Funeral Home in Addison. The Rev. Fred Ambler officiated and burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery in Hudson.
