Burch a son, third born of nine children, born to Emanuel Marcellus DeLappe and Catherine E. (McGeehan) DeLappe. He married Lelah Mary Chase on 10 May 1909 in Seattle, WA. They have two children, Burch Jr. and June. Burch Jr. gave them eight grandchilden, and from them a total of twenty-one great-grandchildren. Burch Sr. was a Teamster for a transfer Co. in 1910. Between 1910 to 1930 he drove trucks. In 1937 he was a driver for Petroleum Transport Company. Our cousin Gary said his father Burch Jr. was a truck driver like his dad. The DeLappe name came originally from Paris France, where there is a street named after them "Rue DeLappe". Also there is a street in Seattle named DeLappe that the family lived on untill the house burned down. I never had the pleasure knowing Aunt Lelah or Uncle Burch, they both died in 1967. I didn't marry into the family until 1970.
