Mrs. Jessie Wulfert Moffitt, formerly of 605 E. Fifth st., Bellwood, died Wednesday at the Lewis Gale hospital, Salem, Va. at 3 a.m. after a lengthy illness.
She had been residing with her husband, Harold E. Moffitt, Sr., at the Camelot Nursing Home, Salem, since last October.
She was born April 27, 1901 at Punxsutawney, a daughter of Charles and Verda Beatty Wulfert.
Surviving are the husband, sons Fred L., Huntsville, Ala,; the Rev. Harold E. Jr. of Covington, Va.; a brother Harold Wulfert, Catawissa; sister, Mrs. Cora Bryson, of Altoona; also five grandchildren and several nieces and a nephew.
She was a member of Trinity United Mehtodist Church, Bellwood, and attened the Bellwood schools and prior to marriage was a secretary at Mercy Hospital, Altoona. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter in Tyrone.
Funeral service will be held Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Bellwood at 2 p.m. in charge of the Rev, Paul R. O'Brien. Burial will be in Logan Valley Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood, from 7:30 p/m/ to 9 p.m. today.
