Frank was born July 2, 1892 , in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of George Smith and Victoria Price Bailey. He married Cassandra Debenham on October 5, 1921 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple: she preceded him in death on December 23, 1980. Frank graduated from Granite High School and the University of Utah. He was a former school principal in the Granite School Dist., specifically in the Garfield and Plymouth Jr. High Schools, and the Holladay Elementary School. An active High Priest in the LDS Church, he served in many positions over the years, including a mission to Hawaii 1914-19 (where he was principal of the church school in Laie), and Mission president in Hawaii 1936-39; first Bishop of the Evergreen Ward; and worker for many years in the Salt Lake Temple. Frank was one of the first members and served on several committees of the Granite Dist. Credit Union. He also served on the Board of and helped establish the Salt Lake Co. Parks & Recreation programs. Member of the SUP, East Mill Creek Chapter. Enjoyed sports, coaching basketball and playing golf with his family. Frank was a kind and loving individual who was respected and admired by all who knew him. Survivors include three sons and three daughters, Frank Don (Cleo), Salt Lake City, Barbara Hales, Provo, Annette (James) Ingersoll, Camarillo, Calif., Margene (Lawrence) Bagley, Oceanside, Calif., G. Ralph (Sylvia), Bountiful, and Rex D. (Trudy), Ft. Smith, Ariz.; 29 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Beatrice Thulin, Sacramento, Calif., Iris Sondrup, Salt Lake City, and Mildred ( Grant) Hacking, Vernal. He was preceded in death by two granddaughters; a great-grandson; a son-in-law; three brothers; and five sisters. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 5th, 1 p.m., at the Valley View Fourth Ward, 2125 Evergreen Ave. (3425 So.), with Bishop Keith Taylor officiating. Friends may call at the Valley View Fourth Ward on 2125 Evergreen Ave., 3425 South, on Friday from 6 to 8 pm and on Saturday for one hour prior to the services. Interment in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Funeral Directors: The Holbrook Funeral Chapel
