Funeral services for Eddie Allen Sr., 83, of Pine Bluff, who died November
11, 1997, at his home, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at P.K. Miller Mortuary with Rev. Jimmy Fisher officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Born March 28, 1914, at Pendleton (Desha County), he was the son of the late Lemuel Allen and Sarah Raines Allen.
He received his early education in the public schools of Desha County and was a member of Greater Mount Calvary Baptist Church.
He was employed as an equipment operator and retired from Arkansas River Valley.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marcie Lee Allen.
Survivors inclued his wife, Shirley Allen, whom he married in 1943; three sons, Sylvester Allen of Chicago, Eddie Allen Jr. of Little Rock and Geary Allen of Pine Bluff; seven daughters, Bobbie Allen and Annette Allen, both of Detroit, Ethel Allen and Doris Williams, both of Little Rock, Evelyn Smith of South Bend, Indiana, Brenda Suell of Pine Bluff and Ruby Shackleford of Chicago; a stepdaughter, Obbie Burrage of Chicago; 23 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
