Nova Scotia, Canada
|Death: ||Nov. 7, 1961|
Abbie was the daughter of Alexander and Mary Jane (Jordan) Weaver. Her family immigrated from Canada in 1882 or 1883, and settled in Lewiston, Maine.
Abbie was the wife of Edwin C. Brown and mother of two children: Gladys and Edwin Jr.
Her husband was a detective. He worked for a Boston agency, and later for the State of Vermont. She remained in Maine during these years, and in one census was listed as head of household.
The Brown family lived in the house that had been owned by her husband's grandfather James D. Towle, and later by his mother Susan Jane, who had remarried to Horace Hadley. The house is within eyesight of this cemetery. The house is depicted in the early-1900s postcard to the right.
