Long Lake:

Michael Dziamba, 40, of Newcomb Road, passed away unexpectedly on June 17, 2009 at the Glens Falls Hospital surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on November 1, 1968 in Troy, he was the son of the late Peter and Vera (Rocker) Dziamba.

He attended the Lansingburgh School District, and went on to enlist in the U.S. Army where he served his country for two years before his honorable discharge.

Michael resided in California for a while before moving back to the north-county and settling in Newcomb, where he met and eventually married Sarah Babbie on June 15, 2007 in Long Lake.

He spent time as an auto mechanic and carpenter and most recently worked for Rasmussen Builders in Long Lake. He had also completed his Class A tractor trailer licensing course and was looking forward to driving a big rig.

His favorite pastimes included caring for his beloved dogs, Rocky, Lilly, Isabelle and Angel and cat, Ozzy. He also was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, canoeing and snowmobiling.

Survivors besides his wife, include his son, Anthony Rosencrants of Wynantskill; a granddaughter, Eternity Grace Rosencrants; his siblings, Peter Paul Dziamba and his wife, Debra of Melrose, Colleen Fogarty and her husband, Peter of Brunswick, Maribeth Pelletier and her husband, Gregory of Latham, Kelly Hardy and her fiancé, Jeff Zovistoski of Albia; mother in law, Tina Thomas and her husband, Bill of North Creek; father in law, Terry Babbie Sr. and his fiancée, Connie of Plattsburgh; brothers in law, Terry Babbie Jr of Newcomb, Anthony Babbie of Plattsburgh, and Alex Thomas of North Creek; grandmother, Barbara Schraver of Newcomb; special friend, Jim Boyd of SC and Newcomb; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
