FORMER ST. CLOUD LADY DEAD
Mrs. A. M. Dow Passed Away Yesterday At Home Of Daughter In Little Falls.
The Little Falls Transcript anounces the death of Mrs. Anna M. Dow, for many years a resident
of St. Cloud. Death occured yesterday morning at the home of a daughter of the deceaced in
Little Falls. Interment is to be made in North Star cemetery, this city, tomorrow afternoon.
The transcript says; "Mrs. Anna M. Dow, a resident of Minnesota for 58 years, died at the home
of her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Raymond, Thursday morning. Mrs. Dow has been declining in
health for several months."
"She was born in Calais, Maine, on December 30, 1838, and moved to Minnesota in the year
1853. She then lived in Minneapolis, or what was then St. Anthony Falls, until 1864. She was
married to Lloyd Dow in 1872 and moved to St. Cloud where she lived until 1901 at which time
she came here to live with her daughter, Mrs G. C. Raymond.
"Her death is mourned by two children, a daughter , Mrs. G. C. Raymond of this city, and a son
C. O. Dow, of Akeley, Minn.
"The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 12:15 from the home of her daughter, Mrs. G.
C. Raymond, on Second street northeast and will be conducted by Rev. G. E. Platt. The
remains will be taken to St. Cloud and laid to rest in the North Star cemetery.
"Mrs. Dow was a member of the local Eastern Star Lodge."
