Arnold Lee "Buck" Adams was born October 21, 1923, in Lovell OK to Luther and Minnie (Powers) Adams. He passed away on March 3, 2009, in Kingfisher OK at the age of 85. Buck was born and raised in the Lovell/Crescent area and attended Big Four Schools. In 1943 he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in World War II. After returning from the war he married Opal Anderson on January 4, 1948, in Guthrie OK. He then worked as a cotton farmer until he went to work for the railroad in the mid 1950's. After retiring he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing the guitar. He also enjoyed playing music at the local nursing homes. Buck was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Crescent and of the VFW.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Opal, of the home; daughters Linda Adams of Cashion and Debbie Adams of Inola OK; sons Robert Adams of Stillwater OK and Clayton Adams of Cashion; sisters Lucy Seaton of Cashion, Rosa John of Edmond OK, Margie Heird of Guthrie, and Willena Miller of Oklahoma City; brothers Lee Adams of Kingfisher OK and Shirley Adams of Enid OK; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
