Louise Matilda (Holle) Antholz, daughter of Henry and Margaret (nee Winkelman) Holle was born on her parent's farm near Ludell, Kan. May 29, 1897.

She died Sept. 14, 1979 at the EbenEzer Lutheran Care Center of Brush, Colo., after she suffered a stroke in early July. She was rushed by ambulance to Presbyterian Hospital in Denver and later hospitalized at Morgan County Hospital of Fort Morgan. On Aug. 16 she was taken to the EbenEzer Home where she was cared for until her death. She attained the age of 82 years, 3 month and 16 days.

Louise was baptized into the Christian faith at Trinity Lutheran Church, north of Ludell, on June 6, 1897. After being duly instructed, she confirmed her baptismal vows at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Ludell on April 9. 1911. Louise was in the first class that was confirmed in the new church building. She attended school at Trinity Lutheran, Immanuel Lutheran and Ludell Public Schools while growing up on her father's farm north of Ludell.

Louise was united in marriage to William E. Antholz on December 18, 1927 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. They made their home on their farm north of McDonald for 44 years until her husband's death in 1972. After this, Louise continued to live there as she was in quite good health and enjoyed the out-of-doors immensely. This union was blessed with three children: Margaret, Carl and Elsie.

Louise was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Bird City. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, her parents, four brothers, Fred, Ren, Henry and John, and one sister, Emma Runge.

She is survived by a son, Carl W. and his wife, Sandra of McDonald; daughter Elsie and her husband, Duane Menken and their four daughters, Debra, Eileen, Diane and Elisa of Fort Morgan, Colo., and daughter Margaret and her husband Raymond Peters and sons Paul of Wray, Colo. and Ralph and his wife Susan and their son, Jason, of Albuquerque, N.M., also one sister, Martha Fleischacker of Ludell, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services were held Monday afternoon Sept. 17, at 2 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bird City. Interment was in Grace Cemetery in McDonald with the Rev. Raymond Paulsen of Brush, Colo. officiating.

The family of Louise Antholz wishes to express their sincere thanks to the many relatives and friends for their kindness and sympathy during Mother's illness and since her death. We want to say "Thank you" especially to the ambulance drivers, Jerry Knapp, Dave and Greg Hubbard. Also to Frieda Black and others who helped so much while Mother was ill. "Thank you," also for your prayers, the lovely flowers, the many memorials, cards and food, especially to Rev. Paulsen for his comforting message and all others who helped in any way. May God bless you all.
