Ernest Huffman Obituary
Lapel--Ernest Huffman, 92, 409 Pendleton Ave., died Saturday at Riverview Hospital, Noblesville, after a brief illness. Born in Hamilton County, he had lived in Lapel since 1939. He was a plasterer and belonged to the Plasterers and Cement Finishers Local 92, Anderson. He attended the Trinity United Methodist Church. He was a 50-year member of Lapel Masonic Lodge 625, a charter member and past commander of the American Legion 212, and also a member of the World War I Barracks, Red Men's Lodge 2 and the Haymakers 41/2. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I.
Surviving are his wife, Naomi Huffman, Lapel; one son living Huffman, Pendleton; one sister May Boone, Lapel; four grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Full military services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fisher Brothers Funeral Home with the Rev. Joseph Wagner of Trinity United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery.
