GEORGETOWN, Md. — Ruth Adair, 91, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Sunday, April 6, 2004, at her home in Georgetown.
She was born Dec. 30, 1912, the daughter of the late Hugh and Clara (Davenport) Adair, of Bloomville.
Following her high school graduation, Ruth attended business school, which was often done then. After she graduated from business school, she was talented enough to work for the Department of Interior in our nation's capitol. Truly a patriot, she worked there for nearly 30 years.
She enjoyed going to music festivals and playing games.
In her later years, she lived at a rest home in Georgetown where she did well for a long time.
Ruth is survived by James C. and Gail L. Lively, of Washington, D.C.; her two best friends and associates who helped and looked out for her for many years. She is also survived by seven nieces and nephews, including Hugh Adair of Milford.
She was predeceased by her sisters and brothers, Elizabeth Adair Revis, Kenneth Adair, Robert D. Adair and Duncan Adair.
Burial and committal services are pending and will take place in the Woodland Cemetery, Delhi.
