MORRIS, NY — Carmelo "Carmine" Alaimo of Coy Brook Road, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004, at home.
He was 74.
He was born July 11, 1929, in New York City, a son of the late Joseph and Josephine Alaimo.
He was an Army veteran, serving during Korea. He retired in 1987 as a superintendent for the New York City Housing Authority.
Loving father of Barbara Jordan and her husband, Michael of Kingston, Kathleen Alaimo-Pacyga and her husband, Dominic, of Chicago, Ill., Steven Alaimo and his wife, Margaret, of West Nyack, and the late Diane Alaimo; and brother of Millicent Marciante and the late Mary Goards, Frances Mancino, Genevieve Rivera, Sally Munos, Rose Nucci, Salvatore, Angelo, Charles, and Louis Alaimo; and grandfather of Gregory Paul Quinn, Johanna and Beatrice Pacyga and Elizabeth, Clare and Daniel Alaimo. Many, many nieces and nephews also survive.
Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday. The funeral procession will form on Friday at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home. At 10 a.m., a funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, Kingston.
Cremation will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery.
