My grandfather was born to Josiah and Margaret Virginia Mancill Hart on March 30, 1887, the third of eight children. He married Alma Magnolia Gillis in February 1916 and had the first of four daughters ten months later. He had quite a sense of humor. The day I was born, he told everyone, including his oldest daughter, that I was twin boys. She found only a baby girl when she went to visit her sister and the new baby!
