Graveside services were held November 5th, 2011 at Chester Lee Williams Family Cemetery, 1214 Lovers Lane, Bastrop, TX 78602.
Charles was born in Houston, Texas to Edna Faye Austin and Willie Adams.
He lived most of his adult life in Austin where he met Judy Lynn Williams and they married on April 16, 1962. After raising two children, they later moved to Bastrop where he enjoyed nothing more than gardening, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will always be remembered for his steadfast love of God, Family, Friends, and his unwavering belief that you should always do the right thing. Charles instilled these qualities in his children and led his life by example, with integrity and pride. Charles, Daddy, PoPo, your passing has left us speechless and there is a hole where our rock used to stand. We hope you are listening to our hearts, we will miss you and love you forever.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carol Adams.
Charles is survived by his wife and best friend of 49 years, Judy Lynn Williams; son, Charles Lloyd Adams Jr. (CJ) and wife Joni Sutton Adams, daughter, Tammy Adams Henson and husband Norman Henson; three granddaughters, Erin Adams Barta and husband Nicholas Barta, Kristen Delane Stevenson and husband Zachary Stevenson, Meagan Adams and fiancé Collin DeLome; and two grandsons, Eric Adams and Tyler Adams. Also three great-grandchildren who were the light of his life, Kadence Alexus Barta, Harper Delane Stevenson and Koen Charles Barta. He leaves two brothers, Willie Adams Jr. and wife Shirley, Robert Adams and wife Susan; sisters, Gladys Coleman and husband Donnie, Francis Murdock and husband Clyde and Shirley Adams Burnham.
Charles also has a large circle of family and friends that mourn his passing and will always carry special memories of him. He had a beautiful smile and shared it often.
