Pearl was the firstborn child of Alexander Dickey and Enolia Lee Dickey. She was first married to James Robert McKinney on November 14, 1914, in Jefferson County, Kentucky. Pearl and James were the parents of seven children with two being stillborn twins. The twins were buried out back of their home. Pearl later married William M. Brown. There were no children from this union.
The State Journal, Frankfort, Kentucky:
"Mrs. Pearl Lee Dickey Brown, 85, died June 15, 1982 at the Franklin Manor Nursing Home in Frankfort, Kentucky. She was the widow of William Brown and the daughter of the late Alex and Enolia Dickey. She was a member of the Pentacostal Church of God. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Inman of Frankfort; three sons, James McKinney of Lexington, Marion McKinney of Frankfort and Sylvester "Bill" McKinney of Stamping Ground; one brother, James Dickey of Lexington; 23 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Defore Cemetery."
