Married Myron Allgood, 11 April 1944. No children.
Ruby's grandmother, Mary Hopkins Beers, lived with her and her father and so she heard many of her grandmother's stories about where they lived and why they went west and settled in Ohio. Ruby later wrote those stories in the 1930's and also because she had the family bible, wrote the family histories of the Hopkins/Beers families. Later she had her husband Myron to help her with the histories. Originals of the bibles and writings were given to Susan Hopkins, a relative, at Ruby's death and Susan is now caretaker of those archives.
Ruby was an active member of the Huron Co. Historical and Genealogy Societies.
