Soren was born in Alberg, Denmark.
Soren and his wife came to America in May 1882 with three children, docking in New York. They settled and farmed in Iowa in the Cass and Shelby County area. They became naturalized citizens 30 Sept. 1905, at Racine, Wisconsin in civil court. Soren married Cecil Mary Christensen in Denmark about 1877. The couple had a total of ten children. The 1900 census states they were married 23 years. She was born 26 Oct. 1855, Denmark.
Soren and Mary retired from farming sometime before 1920 as they show up in the 1920 census living at 602 Walnut St., Atlantic, Iowa.
Soren's father, according to the 1925 Iowa State census was Andrew (Anders) Larsen, born Denmark. Mother's name unknown.
