William Aiken died in Amsterdam, Holland. He graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1941, and later attended Washington State College from 1941-1943 and 1946-1947. His education was interrupted by service with the U.S. Military. He served in the Pacific Theatre and was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. He graduated from George Washington School of Law in 1949. He married Dorothy Louise Snyder, May 22, 1948 at St. Alban's Episcopal Church , Washington D.C.
In March 1951, he opened his law office at the Old Central Building and later moved to 1001 E. Edison Ave., where he contnued his law practice.
Survivors are his wife, Dorothy and children: three daughters Katherine Schwartz, Mary Fishback, and Sally Fitterer. One son Jerome. One sister Martha.
He preceded in death by his father, William Jerome Aiken, in 1952, and his mother Louisa Gertrude Aiken, in 1979.
