Raymond has lived in Vancouver for 31 years. He served in the Air Force from 1961 through 1965, and then as an air technician working on F-15, F-4, F-101, and F-102 fighters for the Air National guard from 1966 until 1999. After his retirement from the Air National Guard he worked as a support services manager in the Public Safety office at the University of Portland.
He enjoyed working with children and was former vice president of Columbia Little League and past adviser for Explorer Scouts 897 of the Oregon Air National Guard. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge 4 and Moose Lodge 1714. he enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Moose Mixed Doubles at Lodge 729.
He also loved music and was very proud of his family.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Gayle, at home; one daughter, Denise Majury; one son, Wayne Alderman; three sisters, Malinda Reno, Norma Snyder, and Sharon Morris; and four grandchildren.
Note: The body will be cremated and inurned at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery
