Commonwealth Reporter, Mon. Aug. 18, 1969, p. 28:4. Joint Rites To Be Held For Ablers. Private funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. Alois M. Abler, 566 W. Scott St. will be held jointly at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Elverman officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Abler, 64, was born Oct. 22, 1904, at Mt. Calvary, a son of Nickolas and Mary Schneider Abler. He was employed as a machinist at the Kiekhaefer Corp. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church and the Knights of Columbus. Mrs. Abler, 55, the former Lucille Lewis, was born July 29, 1914, in Ashland, Ky., a daughter of Lee and Mary Connelly Lewis. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church and the Daughters of Isabella. Mr. and Mrs. Abler are survived by three sons(names omitted for privacy) and six grandchildren. Mr. Abler is also survived by two brothers, Norbert of Mt. Calvary and Sylvan of St. Cloud; five sisters, Mrs. Alvera Freidig and Miss Flora Abler, both of the city, Mrs. marie Michaels of Chicago, Mrs. Minnie Schrage of Mt. Calvary and Mrs. Leona Will of St. Cloud. Mrs. Abler is further survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Grimm of Ashland, Ky., and Mrs. Betty Porter of Houston, Tex. There will be no visitation.

Donald Elverman officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Watson Waehler was organist for the services. Pallbearers were John Michael Grimm, Clyde Stewart, Arnold Freidig, Charles Schrage, Paul Abler and Eugene Will. Mr. Abler also is survived by a sister, Miss Armella Abler, Fond du Lac, in addition to survivors previously listed.
