William Boyles, born about 1826, in Kentucky, age 24 in the 1850 census. He was part of Peter's Colony and received a single person’s share of 320 acres of land in Grayson County Texas, near the town of Dorchester. Married Elizabeth T. West 19 May 1849 in Grayson County, Texas. Their marriage is recorded in Grayson County, Texas Marriage Book A, pg 39. William died abt 1 October1862 the victim of “The Great Hanging of Gainsville, Texas.

Children: Joseph McKee, Sarah L., Martha S., and William Thomas Nelson.
